Ban Kim Electrical & Co did electrical works and installation for the whole of 3 room HDB in Waterloo. Here’s how we did it.
Located in a humble district of Waterloo Centre, Ban Kim Electrical & Co. has done a full fledge lighting work for a 3-rooms HDB unit. Our work covered re-wiring, installation of lighting fixtures, electrical sockets, wire connections to electrical appliances (fans, hob and hood, oven, etc.), and post work services. We ensure your house is clean before we leave the place too. Wherever you need an electrical connection, we are here for you. Cove lighting (indirect lighting) fixtures were concealed into the false ceiling. We ran the wires for the downward lightings before the ceiling box up was done, did the installation for down lighting and pendulum light which were provided by client.
As some walls cannot be hacked and concealed for old flats, PVC tracking had to be installed to run and hide the cables. For aesthetic purpose, we minimised the number of trunking and advice on the best possible placement. In this case, the wire was run from the first bedroom and drilled to the living room wall. Neatly aligned onto the wall. No frill, just simple trunking and switches that were easy to reach for TV, game console and sound bar.
Distribution Board
The distribution board was relocated from the left wall (behind main door), to be hidden within a cabinet as requested by client.
Spotlight installation was done for one of the rooms. This include purchasing lighting fixtures for client (fee applied). We also provide installation for lighting fixtures that are bought by clients. If client’s lightings do not meet the BCA requirements, we will advice and retrofit them to meet the requirement at additional cost.
The kitchen had also undergone a complete makeover. We removed all the electrical wires and old fixtures, while the rest of the items were dissembled by other contractors. The next stage was to lay out the trunking throughout the house. Laying out of electrical wirings were done after the new cabinets were installed. New light fixtures were the last to be installed.
LED striplights were installed in the kitchen. These striplights were installed beneath the fixtures, which do not shine directly into the eyes and create a nice ambience at night.
